Christmas is nearly upon us and festivities are in full swing. If you are anything like the team at Pier Recruitment, slowing-down is a thing of the past and you are likely to be busy tying up 2016, ready for the new year to start!
So we present to you a festive and light-hearted blog…in aid of the season and some of our favorite Christmas films! Please enjoy, we hope it makes you smile!
Waking up in the dark, is more than a chore – it’s torture! You cannot wait to wake up in the light…and neither can we!
It’s got to that time where you just want to STOP! So you do your best to delay sitting at your desk.
Once at your desk, you just do not want to face the pile of work you have to do!
Your colleagues all seem to be slowing-down and saying how chilled they are…
…until they realise that this is most definitely not the case.
Everyone starts asking you what presents you have asked for. Easy!
…but what you actually dream of is a different story.
Trying to fit in the dreaded Christmas food shop looks unlikely and is something you have actively tried to avoid.
The thought of more and more food each day is an exciting but dangerous concept, and your answer to any food related question has become…
All of this will take its toll, and people may start alluding to the fact you look like you’re ‘eating well’.
Just say it how it is…
Speaking of ‘rude,’ you cannot wait for the new year to begin so you can forget about the people who made 2016 extra ‘lovely’ for you.
Once everything at work is complete and all parties have ended, your last day in the office is likely to be a mixture of excitement, confusion and hectic-euphoria.
The thought of not sitting at your desk for a few days is a strange one and you are unsure what to do with this thing called ‘time-off’.
You will arrive home feeling festively-flustered, waiting for the last-minute panic to commence.
With the realisation…
You begin to dream of how your Christmas will look…
…but then reality hits you.
Despite everything, we know you will be fine!
So…in true Christmas spirit, from the whole of Pier Recruitment…
