Rockinghorse Children’s Charity
Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity that has been supporting children for over 40 years. It was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, who recognised that there was a real need for additional resources to improve healthcare services for sick children and babies. Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and also supports the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. They raise money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment, while ensuring that children are treated in an environment that is suited to their needs.
So far this year we have raised just over £1,500.00 for the charity through various fundraising activities and events, including our Bingo Night! In 2015 we held a highly successful Quiz Night, raising £1,070.00 in just a few hours. As official partners of Rockinghorse, we are holding more and more events and fundraisers in the coming months – watch this space!
Pier Recruitment is a part of the Young Enterprise Programme, a leading charity designed to help entrepreneurial students set up and run a business under the guidance of a Business Mentor. It is our job to assist and inspire a group of young individuals who want to make their first impact in the business world. 2015 Perkbox Happy Teams Winners!
Hooray! We have recently been awarded the Perkbox title of ‘Happiest Team,’ from a pool of over 65 entries. It is such an accolade to have received this title and demonstrates the importance of having a happy team. Being a happy team means that we have high staff morale, we have increased productivity, we are more creative and forward-thinking, we fix problems instead of complaining about them, we have high levels of energy and motivation, we get sick less often, we learn faster than our miserable counterparts, we are optimistic…and consequently, we have happier clients and candidates which makes us even happier!
